The Executive Director will be based in Oklahoma City, OK, and will report to the OSU's Vice President for Research. The Executive Director will work closely with University leadership to manage all aspects of the Institute's research, programming and operations and to establish and implement its overall strategy and goals, including short- and long-term planning and the development of new initiatives. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Institute, including budget development and financial operations. The Executive Director will work collaboratively with the University's administration, faculty, and students, the Hamm Institute's Advisory Board, and the broader university community. The Executive Director will represent the Hamm Institute to a variety of internal and external constituency audiences, including industry partners, policy-makers, government agencies, and collaborating universities. The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall success of the Hamm Institute and for developing the strategy and vision to make the Hamm Institute a powerhouse for American energy leadership. |

The School of Transportation and Heavy Equipment is a workforce-driven academic unit that prepares students for immediate, high-demand careers in the automotive and heavy equipment industries. With 9-degree paths spanning automotive service technologies and diesel and heavy equipment, STHE delivers hands-on learning in industry-aligned facilities with a 12:1 student-to-faculty ratio. Programs are co-designed with national industry partners — including but not limited to Ford, General Motors, Caterpillar, Komatsu, and North American Equipment Dealers Association — and most incorporate paid internships with sponsoring dealerships, ensuring students graduate with verified technical competencies and direct employer connections.
