Position Introduction:
The Office of Admissions & Recruitment (OAR) makes connections and creates experiences with the next generation of Sooners by supporting domestic and international freshman, transfer, and concurrent students throughout the application and decision process. Our team operates from Norman and across the state, nation, and world, partnering with faculty, staff, parents, counselors, and communities to provide guidance and resources to prospective students. Our goal is to build a vibrant OU community by recruiting the most academically qualified students with a variety of educational, service, involvement, and community experiences. We seek individuals who exhibit integrity, care, intentionality, and innovation.
Essential Duties: Leads the strategic development and execution of recruitment initiatives for the Health Campus Offices of Admissions & Recruitment (OAR), with responsibility for expanding the prospective student pipeline, strengthening outreach efforts, and achieving enrollment goals.
- Develops and implements comprehensive recruitment strategies for all Health Campus academic programs, aligned with institutional enrollment priorities.
- Leads initiatives to identify, engage, and convert prospective students through data-informed recruitment planning and execution.
- Provides leadership and oversight of recruitment staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and professional development.
- Establishes recruitment goals, monitors performance metrics, and ensures accountability for achieving enrollment targets.
- Builds and maintains partnerships with academic colleges, pre-health advisors, feeder institutions, and community organizations to strengthen pipeline development.
- Oversees planning and execution of on-campus, off-campus, and virtual recruitment events and outreach activities.
- Serves as a primary representative of Health Campus programs at recruitment events, presentations, and professional engagements.
- Collaborates with admissions operations to ensure seamless transition from prospect to applicant to enrolled student.
- Utilizes CRM systems (e.g., Technolutions Slate) and institutional data to track engagement, analyze recruitment effectiveness, and adjust strategies.
- Works in close collaboration with marketing and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across recruitment efforts.
- Partners with academic and administrative leadership to align program-specific recruitment strategies with enrollment goals.
- Supports early engagement and pathway initiatives to expand awareness of health professions and strengthen long-term pipelines.
- Participates in strategic planning and contributes to the continuous improvement of recruitment processes and prospective student experience.
- Works in close collaboration with the senior leader of OAR to implement vision and priorities for recruitment across campuses.
- Serves on committees and performs special projects.
- Participates in professional development conferences and activities.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
