Position Introduction:

General Information: The Executive Assistant FWS assists the Chief Executive Officer in providing support for the organization's day-to-day functions.

Responsibilities:

  • CEO Support
    • Manage CEO’s calendar and help prioritize the high-volume demand for CEO’s time
    • Disseminate information both internally and externally on CEO’s behalf
    • Ensure CEO is prepared for all meetings and events, which may include preparing agendas, ordering food, ensuring supplies are available, room set up, etc.
    • Assist directors and CEO with budget process, policy review, document formatting, etc. as requested
    • Represent CCFI at various community outreach events and identify areas of potential collaboration
    • Manage agency meeting agendas and schedule meeting rooms as required
  • Advocacy:
    • Identify opportunities for advocacy of the CCFI mission, including upcoming bills or law changes, government funding, etc.
    • Contact legislators, city council, and other elected officials to schedule meetings and tours
    • Manage the CCFI advocacy tracking document
    • Draft letters to legislators for dissemination to the CCFI board and other stakeholders for needed advocacy efforts
    • Assist the CEO when attending government events at all levels
    • Stay apprised on current advocacy laws and regulations surrounding non-profits

Required Education and Experience:

Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student at the University of Oklahoma.

Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

  • Ability to operate a personal computer using e-mail, word processing and other applications related to assigned duties
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others orally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and volunteers

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude under stress
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to organizational change
  • Knowledge of all job related policies and procedures

Possess a valid driver’s license and insurance coverage as required by law
