Position Introduction:

Strategic Technology supports the University's mission to remove barriers to college access and completion by managing systems and technology, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and reliability of financial aid, enrollment and academic record services. Our team partners with Financial Aid Services and the Office of the Registrar to implement and maintain systems that strengthen operations and enhance the student experience.

The Financial Aid team assists students in financing their education by reviewing files and administering federal, state, and institutional aid, including grants, loans, and work-study programs. Their work helps to remove barriers to college access and completion by simplifying the aid process. We seek individuals who exhibit integrity, care, intentionality, and innovation. The Financial Systems Analyst provides technical expertise in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, specifically the Financial Aid module, for the University of Oklahoma Harold Hamm Health Campus. This position configures, maintains and validates the systems used to award and disburse federal, state, and institutional financial aid to Health Campus students. It works closely with the Division of Enrollment Management departments of Financial Aid, Registrar, and Recruitment & Admissions, as well as other stakeholders and resources such as IT and Academic colleges/departments. We are seeking a systems analyst who can independently design, configure, and maintain financial aid system solutions. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and/or federal Title IV student aid programs.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Configure, maintain, and validate Financial Aid Year setup, rules, and business logic in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
  • Support the annual Financial Aid Year Rollover process, ensuring all required setup, tables, rules, terms, and processing parameters are accurately established and validated.
  • Configure, develop, test, and maintain PeopleSoft Financial Aid packaging and disbursement processes, eligibility rules, awarding rules, and loan rules in alignment with federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies.
  • Apply knowledge of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OB3) and applicable federal student aid regulations, including legacy and new borrower requirements, loan limits, and eligibility criteria.
  • Partner with Financial Aid, Registrar, Enrollment Management, Admissions, and IT to investigate data discrepancies, troubleshoot system issues, and improve financial aid processes.
  • Support testing of PeopleSoft Financial Aid PUM images, patches, fixes, upgrades, and configuration changes, including developing test scenarios, validating results, and documenting defects.
  • Prepare financial aid reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses to support operational and strategic decision-making by leadership and university stakeholders.
  • Interface with users to determine their needs, explain system requirements and capabilities, and resolve application-related issues.
  • Coordinate, develop, and conduct user training on financial aid systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance of application data structures and assist with cyclical processing, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Support implementation and upgrade efforts and serve on implementation/upgrade teams.
  • Develop and maintain web-enabled communications, applications, and related website content.
  • Perform various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems - MIS, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 36 months experience in system analysis, database management, or financial management.
