Purpose of Role:

The Salesforce Business Analyst role involves supporting a multi-channel user base by enabling and supporting a program of work to achieve business goals and drive operational efficiency and effectiveness. This role will work closely with the Salesforce Systems Manager, Salesforce Developer and the wider Salesforce team to support, develop and enhance the Salesforce Platform in its use across the Underwriting, Banking, General Insurance intermediaries and Corporate Partnerships business. The role also involves driving the understanding and consideration of the intermediary experience across the business for effective solution delivery.

Qualifications 

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator: Mandatory
  • Salesforce Platform App Builder: Mandatory

Key Accountabilities:

  • Plan, communicate and facilitate work sessions with subject matter experts
  • Work with the wider Strategy & Business Transformation team to promote and realise the integration of Salesforce into the wider Suncorp architecture
  • Capture business requirements via interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits
  • Proof of concept presentation to key business stakeholders
  • Develop artefacts including business and functional requirements
  • Understand and map “as-is” processes, identify improvement opportunities and map “to-be” business processes
  • Assist with project planning, scoping and risks and issues management
  • Assist in the writing of test plans, cases & scripts as required
  • Where necessary, provide input into solutions designs, including options for consideration
  • Understand business strategies and operations to drive value through projects and process improvement activities
  • Lead the articulation of business needs and the facilitation of business and system solutions
  • Identify areas of risk and communicate to the Salesforce System and Business Solutions Managers as required
  • Act as an escalation point for day-to-day tasks and project issues
  • Constantly being aware of most up to date project flight plan, milestones, and solution architecture
  • Drive interest and adoption of 1Platform and advocate for Salesforce as a platform/solution
  • Manage the platform backlog, including supporting business prioritisation and assisting the stakeholders to effectively prioritise for maximum return on investment/development effort

Experience (minimum type and level of experience required to perform the role)

  • Minimum of 3+ years as a Salesforce Business Analyst/Functional Analyst is mandatory
  • Exceptional presentation and written and verbal communication are mandatory
  • Experience in using Salesforce automation tools (e.g. Process Builder) is mandatory
  • Experience in co-ordinating and completing System, User Acceptance and Post Verification Testing is mandatory
  • Experience working on Process Improvement projects is preferred
