The Role

In accordance with primary health care principles, Agency policy and direction, legal requirements and professional competencies, undertake the delivery of quality patient and client care services, based on best practice principles and within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.

  1. Provide a comprehensive clinical service through assessment, case management and individual therapies with clients of the Forensic Mental Health Service.
  2. Provide specialist rehabilitation Occupational Therapy treatment and services to patients within the Wilfred Lopes Centre and Community Forensic Mental Health service, and the Risdon Prison Complex as required, including the design, development, implementation and evaluation of specialised treatment programs.
  3. Assist with the integration into the community of released clients through consultation and liaison with the Community Forensic Mental Health Teams.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing from December 2025 until 2 May 2026.

Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Classification: Allied Health Professional Level 3

Salary $110,425 - $119,290 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Board of Australia
  • Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Current Driver’s Licence

Position Features:  Intrastate travel may be required

Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
