About the Role

In this 12-month fixed term opportunity, reporting to Head of Sustainable Futures the Manager Goal Hub you will be responsible for leading several periodic enterprise planning and reporting processes at Melbourne Water. This includes the delivery of our external Corporate Plan and internal Business Plan, as well as the corresponding annual reporting suite (including ESG and ESC reporting) and enterprise performance reporting for executive and Board audiences.  This role will:

  • Play a senior leadership role across the business, working closely with the ELG and Board and leading the Goal Hub team, and facilitating the business to deliver strategy.
  • Lead an agile team of subject matter experts to facilitate goal progression and improve enterprise planning processes.
  • Lead and manage programs that improve the governance of Melbourne Water to support a high-performance organisation.
  • Lead the development of the annual business planning cycle to identify priorities, establish goals and objectives, prioritising resources and allocating funds to support strategic planning decisions.
  • Support the integration of with annual planning cycles with the regulatory pricing cycle (e.g. PREMO model).
  • Lead and manage the internal and external setting and reporting of Melbourne Water’s corporate performance including KPIs, PREMO and SDG metrics.
  • Lead the preparation and maintain internal communication packs, including ensuring all service outcomes and sustainability messages are updated two times per year and preparing and developing slide presentations and videos on sustainability and service outcomes for use at the Group 1 level and adapted for portfolio use.

About you:

  • Extensive experience in overseeing business planning and reporting processes within large complex organisations. 
  • Extensive experience in non-financial reporting (i.e. carbon accounting) principles and protocols.
  • Proven ability to lead a team of technical experts.
  • Senior level experience in global sustainable reporting initiatives and driving enterprise-wide analytics and continual improvement initiatives.
  • Extensive experience in facilitating, influencing, and engaging diverse stakeholders, coordination and execution of projects that span multiple sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in Annual Report preparation and other Governance Reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in arts, Science, Engineering, Public or Business Administration.
