About the Role

In this 12-month opportunity, reporting to the Accounts Receivable & Payable Lead the Business Support Officer (AP/AR) is a pivotal role within the Business Performance and Analytics team.  In the role you will be responsible for the performance of both the Accounts Payable & Receivable end to end process and to ensure that it is managed and administered effectively.

  • Management and investigation of daily eCloud Document Exceptions system
  • Processing of approved invoices for the payment of creditors within set trading terms and authorisations
  • Creation of weekly EFT, cheque and overseas payment runs
  • Investigations into debtor and creditor transactions
  • Reconciling of Creditor statements
  • Reconciling of Debtor accounts
  • Management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable email inboxes
  • Monthly General Ledger reconciliations (balance papers)
  • Ability to deliver a high level of customer service, to all stakeholders in relation to Accounts Payable and Receivable

About you:

  • Solid experience in end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable management
  • Ability to manage heavy work volumes without supervision and to meet tight deadlines
  • An ability to work in a team environment with a continuous improvement mindset to improve processes and meet workload requirements
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills when dealing with stakeholders
  • A good understanding of Goods and Services Taxation (GST) requirements in relation to payment of suppliers and invoicing of debtors and its implications to the business.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in the utilisation of computer-based accounts payable and accounts receivable software including Microsoft Office applications
  • knowledge of the financial system, Technology One, highly desirable

Whilst a degree is not mandatory for this role, an understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills is required with experience in a similar Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable role
