About The Role

Reporting to Program Manager Urban Water Planning & Development this is a 12 month, full time contract role. As the Program Analyst you will be responsible for coordinating effective development & delivery for a portfolio of projects in the Urban Water Planning and Development Team’s work program with a key focus on reporting, governance, scheduling, risk management and financial management to meet required program milestones and stakeholder expectations.

  • Supports the Program Manager to maintain the master schedule and defines contributing projects, including sequencing, dependences, delivery arrangements and resourcing requirements.
  • Develops frameworks to schedule and monitor works program, team budgets and performance reporting frameworks.
  • Planning, coordinating and delivery of tasks and activities within the program to meet project outcomes, timeframes and budgets under the direction of the Program Manager and/or UWPD Project Managers.
  • Preparation of high quality, timely and accurate program status reports to various internal and external governance forums.
  • Delivers continuous improvement initiatives to improve program risk management, management of dependencies, reporting, resourcing, financial management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage procurement administration activities and support UWPD project managers with procurement activities & assessments.
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience, which demonstrates aptitude and capability in program coordination or delivery.
  • Demonstrated program coordination skills and experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise leading continuous improvement activities.
  • Strong financial estimate, budgeting and forecasting capabilities.
  • Strong risk identification, assessment and control capabilities.
  • Developed reporting and governance capabilities
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and process analysis skills.
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience with capital program delivery, would be well regarded.
  • Water industry experience, would be well regarded.
