About The Role

Reporting to the Program Lead, this is a pivotal role within the Field Delivery South East Team. This permanent full-time role is based across the South East Regions of Melbourne.

As the Crew Maintenance you will be responsible for: The civil maintenance and grass management works in waterways and land delivery environments.

About You

Reporting to the Program Lead Maintenance and working closely with a Leading Hand Civil, this role is part of a dedicated crew committed to maintaining and improving our waterways, infrastructure, and drainage network.

You will play an important hands-on role in supporting inspections of rock weirs, fishways, and dam wall embankments, as well as removing litter and debris from drainage assets, waterways, and wetlands. The position also involves assisting with a range of maintenance activities, including minor fencing repairs.

This role is well suited to a proactive and reliable team player who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining essential community assets, and contributes positively to a collaborative and safety-focused team environment.

Your Skills and Experience 

  • Experience in grass and weed management, Water ways maintenance, asset inspection and project works 
  • Ability to work proactively as a member of the team, contribute fully to team decision-making and take responsibility for own role in ensuring the safety of all team members and other personnel on site
  • Ability to work and contribute in a team environment to improve processes, respond to various demands and manage multiple activities simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations
  • Valid Victorian Drivers license (MR or HR would be favourable)
  • Ability to pass both a Criminal Record check and Pre-Employment medical
