About North East Link  

The Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project. 

The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project. 

The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads. 

 About the Opportunity

As a Business Transformation Consultant at Spark, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, analysing, and enhancing our organisational processes, with a focus on driving technology enablement across the business. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive improvements that lead to increased productivity, reduced costs, and improved team satisfaction across the business.

 

You will work on business and process improvement projects spanning different teams and disciplines. You will be flexible, comfortable with change, and passionate about challenging teams to improve their ways of working and processes for better outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and manage business transformation projects.
  • Collaborate with Spark teams to assess current business operations and identify areas for improvement and transformation.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business transformation strategies plans tailored to each team’s or project’s unique needs and goals.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to provide data-driven insights and recommendations for process optimisation and innovation.
  • Lead and facilitate change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new strategies and technologies. This includes training, comms and support activities for affected stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver results, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Provide expert guidance to teams on industry best practices, emerging trends, and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Deliver clear and impactful presentations and reports to stakeholders, outlining progress and the impact of the transformation efforts.

 

 

 Qualifications:

 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Management consulting, Business Strategy or Service Design (or a related role).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Project management experience in leading projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in tech.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and analysis tools (e.g., Design Thinking, Six Sigma, Lean) is a plus.
