CBGU JV brings together partners CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella and UGL to deliver the Tunnel and Stations package for Brisbane’s Cross River Rail.  Cross River Rail is a 10.2 kilometre rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills, including 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and CBD.  The project also includes construction of four new high-capacity underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street, Roma Street and redevelopment of the existing Dutton Park station.

Position Requirements:

  • Electrical Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience in commercial construction environment

 

The Position:

  • The provision of professional Electrical -WHS inspection/audits and reporting services as required to meet current QLD Government legislation, Australian Standards, client specifications.
  • The provision of detailed and immediate reporting on any non-conformances, fault(s) or hazards that may constitute a breach of safety regardless of how such a fault or hazard may have occurred (workmanship, material, other)
  • The provision of a detailed reports at the conclusion of the inspections that summarises the actions undertaken and the result of those inspections as required.
  • Provide advice and assistance to managers, supervisors, and workers on Electrical safety/WHS issues.
  • Liaise with client representatives and external bodies to identify Electrical safety requirements and standards.
  • Review, improve and implement procedures for Electrical safety compliance management.
  • Assist with investigations as required with HSE department.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legislation, regulation and compliance relating to health, safety, operational risk within a business context.
  • Review legislation and best practice for health, safety and risk management in relation to Electrical Safety.
  • Liaise with Project Permanent Works Electrical Safety Management Plan to reflect future stages of the project The Existing ESMP covers the Construction Network this will remain, A separate document /additional ESMP will be Implemented for the Permanent works. 
  • Lead a result driven auditing plan to ensure full compliance for both internal (self-perform) and external (subcontract) delivered works.
  • Contribute to the Control of the projects Policy and Permit to Work System.
  • Ensure that all compliance evidence is up to date and complete and where necessary, liaise with key stakeholders to obtain missing documentation.
  • If requested, Work with the wider project team to upskill staff on the Policy, Procedure and Controls in relation to electrical hazards.
  • Be available to interface with Industrial and safety with the ETU.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to the SHE Cultural Framework, policies, Safety Essentials and Management System requirements and expectations;
  • Liaise with ESO inspectors
