Who are we?

CBGU JV brings together partners CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella and UGL to deliver the Tunnels and Stations package for Brisbane’s Cross River Rail.  Cross River Rail is a 10.2 kilometre rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills, including 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and CBD.  The project also includes construction of four new high-capacity underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street station.

About the opportunity:

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor to join our M&E, JV team in the sunny city of Brisbane. 

In this role you will be supervising a team of field techs and sub-contractors with the testing & commissioning of all mechanical equipment on the Cross River Rail – Tunnels & Stations Project.


In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the installation Workpacks, in accordance with the project specifications and design.
  • Actively liaising with subcontractors, project engineers and suppliers.
  • Full supervision of installation teams at site.
  • Management of correspondence, as directed by the Superintendent and Project Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all QA and reporting processes.
  • Assisting Project Engineers in reviewing and monitoring and planning construction progress  against program and budget.
  • Undertake any ad-hoc initiatives and tasks, as directed by the Superintendent & PM.

Minimum requirements for this role include the following:

  • Electrical trade qualification.
  • 5+ years experience supervising and leading a team of trades in a large infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in liaising with multi-disciplined stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Effective leadership skills in managing relationships with sub-contractors and suppliers to successfully deliver project outcomes.
