The Project

The CPB Contractors, Ghella & UGL joint venture has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the $3.1bn M6 Stage 1 project.  The project will deliver the missing link from Sydney’s south to the wider Sydney motorway network making journeys easier, faster and safer. It will remove more than 2,000 trucks a day from surface roads and help return local streets to local communities.

With works commenced in early 2022, the M6 Stage 1 project scope includes the construction of twin four-kilometre tunnels and associated works, linking the M8 Motorway at Arncliffe to President Avenue at Kogarah.

The Opportunity

We currently looking for short-term Contracts Administrator/Senior Contracts Administrator to join the M6 Stage 1 Project.  Given the short-term nature of the role, you may be engaged on a max-term or casual employment contract.

Some of the role’s key accountabilities include;

  • Processing accruals and ensuring costs are committed
  • Analysis of cost to date and forecast cost to complete
  • Updates forecasts and cost to date figures
  • Evaluating and negotiating contractual claims with sub-contractors
  • Processing sub-contractor payments in accordance with the Security of Payments Act, assessment of works completed, variations and back charges
  • Managing the procurement of suppliers, trades and services

About You

Successful candidates will have the following;

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (engineering, commerce, accounting, business, law or associated discipline) and/or equivalent experience
  • Extensive demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical, negotiation and interpersonal skills

The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
