The Project

CPB Contractors has been selected by the Queensland Government as managing contractor for stage one of the new Bundaberg Hospital. CPB Contractors will lead the design phase of the project which involves the design of a new six-storey hospital for acute, medical, surgical and mental health services, as well as emergency, clinical support services, and associated infrastructure.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Project Director the Safety Manager will be responsible for:

  • Working with the project management team to provide guidance, clarity and support to lead, develop and maintain the safety culture the New Bundaberg Hospital project.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, project and industry stakeholders and emergency service organisations to ensure compliance and maintain industry relationships.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Managing all facets of Health & Safety, Environment & Quality for the project.

Our Minimum Requirements:

  • Tertiary (Bachelor) degree in Safety, Environmental, Project Management, Building, Construction.
  • Experience working with a Tier 1 construction company 10 years post graduate experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Safety legislation and statutes and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation relevant to Project.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing all facets of Health & Safety, Environment & Quality.
  • Available to work a 10:4 roster – FIFO options available from Brisbane.
