Typical skills and responsibilities

  • Generalist HR support, acting as the first point of contact for HR queries;
  • Supporting the HR Manager to ensure HR policies and processes are understood and current;
  • HR administration and coordination across all employee activities;
  • Provide HR support to hiring managers and employees.

Qualifications         

Appropriate HR or related qualifications are desired but not essential.

 

Background

  • Experience working on infrastructure projects is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar role supporting a HR team in a fast paced project environment.
  • Previous experience in HR/Payroll systems
  • Excellent attention to detail with basic knowledge of Australian employment legislation and awareness of compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work autonomously and without supervision, often with competing priorities and interests.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
