Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project. 
 
HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. 

The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.

Key Accountabilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Capturing project news of key milestone achievements, important safety and wellbeing information and shine a spotlight on our great people
• Leading direct collaborative relationships with a range of contracted professional media suppliers across video, photography and graphic design production and post production disciplines
• Produce and edit high-quality communications materials including newsletters, web content and social media stories
• Planning and managing external news media opportunities and events, including VIP visits to the project
• Ensuring planned production and publication schedules are consistently met to a professional standard

You must have

• A relevant qualification such as a bachelor's degree majoring in Journalism or Media
• A minimum 3 years relevant Media Communication background such as a metropolitan or regional TV news or radio network
• Competency in the key Adobe Creative Suite Apps, including Premiere Pro / Rush, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Demonstrated skills in broadcast media production from conception and planning through post production, approvals and publishing
• Capacity to work effectively and collaboratively to support project-wide safety and quality assurance outcomes.
