CBGU JV is working on Queensland’s largest infrastructure project and we’re building our team for the future. South East Queensland is about to embark on a period of sustained growth in the lead up to the 2032 Olympics, and we are thrilled to be involved in developing Cross River Rail, which will forever change the way Queenslander’s travel.
CBGU JV brings together CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella and UGL to deliver the Tunnel and Station Package for Brisbane’s Cross River Rail, the 10.2 kilometre rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills, including 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and CBD. The project also includes construction of four new underground stations at Roma Street, Albert Street, Boggo Road and Woolloongabba.

Reporting to the Project Engineer on your site, these roles sit within the Stations & Caverns construction delivery team. You will be responsible for providing on-site engineering support to assist in the delivery of successful project outcomes for a large-scale underground station site.
You will be responsible for:
- Planning and managing work conducted on site by subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitoring key construction requirements to ensure they are achieved in line with agreed specifications
- Implementing prompt and safe corrective action on site if required
- Maintaining all relevant project document control and records
- Assisting the engineering team in preparing accurate monthly reports
Minimum requirements for this role include the following:
- Recognised degree in Engineering
- Demonstrated site experience coordinating subcontractors, preferably in a large-scale building or infrastructure project environment
- Ability to apply engineering principles to comply with scope of works and technical criteria
- Experience in overseeing subcontractor quality and progress to achieve desired project outcomes
- Demonstrated commitment to health and safety practices and expectations
