The Project

CPB Constructors, in Alliance partnership with Sedgman, SC Joint Venture (SCJV) has been selected by BHP to undertake the Western Ridge Crusher Project, involving construction of a new primary crusher, a 12-kilometre overland conveyor, radial stacker, and associated stockpiling systems, with a capacity of 30Mtpa. The Project is located on Nyiyaparli Country, approximately 21 Kilometres southwest of Newman, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.  Works are commencing now and will go through until mid 2026.  

Your opportunity

CPB Contractors are currently seeking a Project Engineer (Electrical) to join our on-site construction team for the Western Ridge Crusher project.

These roles will be responsible for coordinating the design, procurement and construction elements for electrical works conducted on the project whilst ensuring safety, time, cost and environmental objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading engineering and supervision teams to deliver works in accordance with project specifications, budgets and schedules
  • Forecasting against budget positions
  • Generating client and internal reports
  • Ensuring that relevant stakeholders requirements are met by building and maintaining productive internal and external relationships

To be successful in this role, you must have the following

  • Previous experience in an engineering role on a large engineering/construction project.
  • Demonstrated competency in areas of technical and production management in self-performed operations
  • Hold proven verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholders
