Your opportunity

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead the intricacies and complexities of the design delivery and methodology of a $1B+ infrastructure project based in Brisbane. Key tasks and outcomes include:

  • Leadership of the overall design development phase and construction phase services of the project
  • Accountable for the delivery of all permanent and temporary works design for the project
  • Managing the overall performance of the design team;
  • Providing design advice for the project;
  • Proactively “champion” innovative design solutions that contribute to design outcomes;
  • Ensure timely delivery of design;
  • Site design support during the construction phase;
  • Interfacing of Environment, quality and safety in the design and constructability process.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar with RPEQ certification
  • Demonstrated 10 to 15 years project delivery experience on Major Infrastructure as an Engineering Manager, Project Manager or similar role is highly desirable
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of project delivery (tender phase to delivery and handover)
  • Demonstrated experience of leading and managing the Engineering function for a project
  • Demonstrated experience of driving consistency, continuous improvement and resource development
  • Proven and recognised leadership skills at a senior level
  • Excellent communicator at all levels of management including client facing
  • Strong experience of and skilled in Digital engineering, including 4D planning and BIM, ability to input to and coordinate associated processes plus inform strategic direction of future digital strategies
