About the Opportunity
To support the delivery of iconic Melbourne projects we are seeking EOI from Planner candidates with proven infrastructure project experience to be a part of our Team.
A day could look like this:
- Launch purchase orders (POs) in coordination with the other departments involved.
- Collaborate in reviewing the correct wording of the section on costs in contracts before they are closed.
- Update the monthly financial information for the project (ECO and cost distribution) and prepare all necessary reports in accordance with the procedures of the cost control as per corporate policies.
- Monthly update of project costs for reporting to the finance department
- Analysis of project costs: incurred, committed, pending commitment, contingencies, forecast, deviations, risks, and opportunities.
- Coordinate the work certification process with subcontractors and the project team.
- Control and monitoring of internal and external change orders (subcontractors).
- Hold monthly meetings with the Project Planning & Controls Manager during the execution and closure phases.
- Site based as per the project requirements.
- Ensure that documentation relating to project costs is correctly uploaded to SharePoint (ECO, Cost Distribution, and Certifications).
- Provide project cost information to other interested departments: Cost Assessment and Analysis, Engineering, SC, Logistics, Quality, etc.
Qualifications and experience that will deem you suitable
- Any Engineering degree with experience in construction
- Specific training in cost control. Additional specific courses in finance, planning, and project management will be valued and an advantage.
- English language high level, spoken and written.
- Ability to negotiate with third parties, work in a team, and perform technical analysis of projects.
- Extensive technical knowledge of cost control
- Knowledge of planning
- Management of industrial EPC projects.
- Knowledge of SAP (JDE / FPM) and Microsoft Office tools
