CPB Contractors, together with fellow CIMIC Group companies, UGL and EIC, is proud to be driving the ground-up development of a multi-megawatt data centre in Truganina in the western suburbs of Melbourne. As the trusted delivery partners for Coravel, a global digital infrastructure platform, we will be frontiering mission critical facilities and infrastructure. Our expertise will seamlessly integrate complex systems across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire, power and telecommunications among much more.
Our integration with Coravel, empowers this build to draw on the shared knowledge and aligned systems across an international network to bring global best practice to our region.
The 80 MW data centre will consist of two adjoining 40MW data centres featuring complex internally integrated electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire protection, ICT and security systems. Construction will also involve extensive external inground services works, modular electrical equipment including HV / Fire protection facilities construction and civil finishing works.
Your opportunity
On a project like this, there's a lot of information moving between teams every day. Drawings are updated, designs change, approvals come through, and people need to know they're working from the latest information. Keeping all of that organised is critical to keeping the project moving.
That's where you come in.
You'll be the person helping the team stay on top of project documentation, making sure the right information is available to the right people when they need it. Working closely with engineers, consultants, subcontractors and the wider project team, you'll play an important role in supporting day-to-day delivery and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
If you're someone who enjoys organisation, has a good eye for detail and takes satisfaction in bringing order to a busy environment, you'll be right at home in this role.
What you'll be doing
As our Document Controller, you'll help ensure project information is accurate, up to date and easy to access.
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing the flow of drawings, design updates and project documentation across the project team
- Maintaining document control systems, registers and filing structures
- Issuing, tracking and archiving project documents in line with project requirements
- Supporting engineers, consultants and subcontractors with document submissions and requests
- Coordinating review and approval workflows to help keep information moving
- Monitoring document revisions and ensuring teams are working from current information
- Preparing reports and maintaining project records as required
- Helping ensure documentation remains compliant, complete and audit-ready
About you
You're organised, detail-oriented and take pride in getting things right.
You understand that good document control isn't just administration. It's about making sure people have confidence in the information they're working from and helping projects run more efficiently as a result.
You'll likely bring experience in document control, project administration or a similar support role, along with:
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- The confidence to work with a variety of stakeholders across the project
- A proactive approach and willingness to follow things through
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Experience using document management systems and Microsoft Office
