Your Opportunity
We are seeking a senior Digital Engineering professional to provide strategic oversight and governance across projects, tenders, and the broader VIC/TAS Business Unit.
Reporting to the VIC Engineering Director, this role will act as the key Digital Engineering escalation point, supporting multiple tenders and projects simultaneously, while providing leadership and direction to Digital Engineering resources across the Business.
Key areas of focus include:
- Digital Engineering governance, tender support, project mobilisation support, and framework establishment.
- Providing strategic oversight across tenders and projects, ensuring consistency and best practice.
- Supporting project teams and SMEs with technical guidance and problem-solving.
- Driving innovation and identifying opportunities to improve delivery through digital solutions and emerging technologies.
- Acting as a client-facing representative, engaging confidently with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Supporting negotiations around Digital Engineering requirements, standards, and deliverables.
- Providing a long-term, Business Unit-wide perspective rather than a project-specific focus.
Our minimum requirements for this role are:
We're open to candidates from contractor, engineering consultancy, client-side, or government environments. Experience within the Australian market would be advantageous; however, given the seniority of the role, we are also open to considering candidates from international markets.
Essential requirements include:
- Demonstrated experience delivering Digital Engineering outcomes on major projects or establishing Digital Engineering functions/frameworks within an organisation.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to operate strategically across multiple concurrent tenders and projects.
- Approximately 12-15 years' relevant experience minimum.
