The Project

CPB is working on a large infrastructure project as part of building Queensland’s future. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to join our project delivery team on a project based in Brisbane.

Your Opportunity

As a Project Controls Manager, you will play a vital role in managing and overseeing the project controls function across planning, cost control, forecasting, reporting and performance management. Working closely with the Project Director and wider project team, you will provide accurate and timely information to support project decision-making and ensure the project is delivered against its cost, schedule and performance objectives. This is a senior role suited to someone who has worked on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects and is confident managing project controls across the full project lifecycle.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the project controls function across cost, planning, forecasting, reporting and performance management.
  • Manage and maintain the integrated project schedule, monitoring progress, critical path and potential delays.
  • Oversee cost control, forecasting, budget tracking and EAC reporting, identifying trends and variances.
  • Prepare accurate monthly reports, dashboards and project performance analysis for senior project leadership.
  • Work closely with Project Management, Commercial, Finance and Construction teams to identify risks, opportunities and corrective actions.

 

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Proven experience in a Project Controls Manager / Senior Project Controls role on major construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong experience across cost control, planning, forecasting and project reporting.
  • Systems knowledge such as Rover, FPM & EIS, JDE (preferred)
  • Bachelor degree in Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or other relevant qualification.
