The Riverina Redevelopment Join Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of exisiting infrustructure facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.

The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including;

  • Albury Wodonga Military Area (AWMA)
  • RAAF Base Wagga (RBW)
  • Blamey Barracks Kapooka (BBK)

The proposed capital investment of $1.7b will incorporate a variety of elements including:

  • Construction of new messing and living in accommodation
  • Construction of new training and mess facilities
  • Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings
  • Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services

Your Opportunity

Example:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of site works. Responsibilities may include monitoring progress against program, resolving engineering and technical challenges, coordinating subcontractors, and supporting cost, quality and schedule outcomes. You will also play an important role in promoting and upholding a strong Zero Harm safety culture.

  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications and methodologies
  • Plan and coordinate daily works with supervisors and Subcontractors to achieve agreed outcomes
  • Ensure project delivery is compliant with project standards, quality requirements and technical specifications
  • Monitor and manage allocated work packages, including resources, cost and productivity
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation and reporting
  • Support cost management and contribute to achieving project targets

About You

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in an unsupervised Document Control/Quality Coordinator role.
  • Technical competency or detailed understanding in document control
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communicator who has skills in training
  • Skill in stakeholder communication
  • Delegation and decision-making skills, e.g. quick thinking and confident in outcome
  • Systematic approach to conducting work
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required, with eligibility to obtain and maintain Baseline Security Clearance.
