The M6 Stage 1 Project is a major road infrastructure development that will provide a crucial motorway connection in Sydney, improving network efficiency, reducing congestion, and enhancing connectivity across the region. As construction progresses, we are seeking talented professionals to join our project team and contribute to the successful delivery of this landmark project.

Receptionist

We are currently seeking a professional and customer-focused Receptionist to be the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and project stakeholders on the M6 Stage 1 Project. This role is responsible for providing exceptional front-of-house services while supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of the project team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Greeting and welcoming visitors, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project personnel in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Managing incoming telephone calls, emails, and enquiries, ensuring they are directed appropriately and responded to in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining reception and common areas to ensure a professional and organised workplace environment.
  • Coordinating visitor access, site inductions, security requirements, and visitor records in accordance with project procedures.
  • Receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming mail, courier deliveries, and project correspondence.
  • Assisting with meeting room bookings, visitor logistics, and catering arrangements for meetings and events.
  • Supporting the preparation, formatting, and distribution of project documentation and correspondence.
  • Maintaining office supplies, stationery inventories, and coordinating orders as required.
  • Assisting with travel bookings, accommodation arrangements, and administrative support for project personnel.
  • Supporting onboarding activities for new employees and visitors where required.
  • Maintaining filing systems, records management, and document control processes.
  • Providing general administrative support to the Project Director, leadership team, and wider project workforce.
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Managing sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:

  • Certificate III or Certificate IV in Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related discipline (desirable).
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a receptionist, front office, administrative support, or customer service role.
  • Previous experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure, professional services, or corporate environments will be highly regarded.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality administrative support.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach with a willingness to assist across various administrative functions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
