Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time (minimum 60 hours per fortnight, GWE)
About the role:
As Planning Officer, you’ll support port logistics by ensuring planning systems, purchasing, and compliance processes are delivered accurately and in line with operational need
The role has no set roster and requires flexibility with shifts across Days, Afternoon, Nights, and weekends (24 / 7 coverage).
If you’re flexible, able to accommodate changing hours, and eager to learn you’ll fit right in.
You’ll look after
- Maintaining up-to-date data and records in logistics systems to support operational planning
- Delivering high-quality customer service by resolving issues and working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with operational standards, including NHVR, customs, and biosecurity requirements
- Supporting purchasing and planning tasks to align with customer agreements and business targets
- Monitoring service levels and provide updates to meet internal and external reporting requirements
About You:
Prior experience is not essential. We are open to junior applicants or recent Graduates who demonstrate enthusiasm, reliability, and a strong interest in developing a career in this field with on site training , mentoring and opportunities for career progression.
- Willingness to learn (and ask questions when you need to)
- Good computer skills and confidence picking up new systems
- A customer-first mindset and clear communication
- Flexibility to work a roster that can shift around a little (including afternoons ,Nights and weekends, sometimes at short notice)
Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) (or willingness to get one
