Monash University and Alfred Health are pleased to invite applications for a prestigious joint appointment as Associate Professor or Professor of Emergency Nursing. This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape the future of emergency nursing research, education, and clinical practice within two of Australia’s most respected institutions.
Monash Nursing and Midwifery (MNM) is one of the largest and most dynamic nursing and midwifery schools in Australia. Renowned for its excellence in teaching, research, and clinical education, MNM offers a vibrant and supportive environment for students and staff alike.

The successful candidate will drive a high-impact research agenda aligned with institutional priorities, secure competitive funding, and maintain a strong publication record. They will also mentor early career researchers and students, foster interdisciplinary collaborations, contribute to policy and leadership initiatives, and support the growth of graduate research and teaching programs.
We are seeking an accomplished academic with a doctoral qualification in nursing or a related field, and an international reputation for excellence in emergency nursing research. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in securing research funding, leading multidisciplinary projects, and mentoring. Strong leadership, collaboration, and engagement skills are essential, along with eligibility for nursing registration in Australia.
