The Opportunity

Join the Department of Imaging and Radiation Sciences as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer and play a key role in teaching and research in Imaging Physics and Artificial Intelligence within medical imaging.

This position provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with academics and researchers in the Department, enhancing its research capacity and contributing to cutting-edge advancements. You will also play a key role in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs, focusing on medical imaging physics, with an emphasis on specialties such as Ultrasound and CT, as well as the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning in biomedical applications.

In this role, you will also  lead innovative research in medical imaging and radiation sciences, driving advancements in biomedical imaging technologies. Your expertise will guide the future direction of research in these areas, with a particular focus on leveraging big data and artificial intelligence to address complex challenges in medical imaging. You will also supervise PhD, honours and postgraduate students, fostering their growth and supporting them in conducting ground-breaking research. Additionally, you will contribute to educational innovation by shaping curriculum design and ensuring that the program stays at the forefront of industry and academic developments.

We are seeking candidates for this position who have a doctoral degree in a relevant field, coupled with a demonstrated record of teaching medical imaging, imaging physics or artificial intelligence. This position demands a strong ability to engage with students, staff and external stakeholders alike. There is also there is an expectation that you will also have a successful track record of research funding and high-quality peer-reviewed publications.
