Expressions of Interest in Sessional Teaching Opportunities - Faculty of Arts
Monash is committed to the creation of pathways to more secure fixed-term and continuing employment, where this is appropriate for the individual situation and work category.
There are circumstances where sessional employment will be required, and we will continue to engage and renew sessional academic staff where it is determined to be the most appropriate mode of employment, aligned with the new definition in the Closing Loopholes Act and our job security commitments.
The Faculty of Arts is now seeking expressions of interest for potential sessional work opportunities in Semester 2 2025.
If you are interested in being considered for sessional academic work in 2025, we encourage you to express your interest by progressing as follows:
-
NEW STAFF (did not teach in Semester 1): Complete an expression of interest via the apply button below. This will allow us to better understand your specific teaching interests and experience, helping us to align them with potential needs across our teaching.
-
CURRENT SESSIONAL STAFF (taught in Semester 1): As you already hold a "Terms of engagement" with the Faculty of Arts, you are not required to complete a further EOI. You will automatically be considered for sessional academic work.
Please note that submitting an EOI does not guarantee sessional work in 2025. You are also welcome to apply for other advertised roles at the University. The expression of interest (EOI) process will follow our standard processes, with more information on available sessional work to be shared as sessional work requirements for 2025 are finalised.
You will receive a confirmation message upon submission of your registration, and will be contacted further if:
-
sessional work becomes available that aligns with your specific teaching interests, experience, and disciplinary background, and
-
your application is successful and a tutor coordinator wishes to pursue your registration.
We look forward to receiving your application.
