The Opportunity
Monash University is seeking a Level A Research Fellow to join the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Drug Delivery Disposition and Dynamics. This research-only academic position offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful antimalarial drug discovery projects, focusing on the mechanisms of action and resistance of both existing and novel antimalarials. The ultimate goal is to develop innovative strategies to combat malaria.
As a Research Fellow, you will engage in parasitological and pharmacological research, using state-of-the-art mass spectrometry technology to support the research objectives. Your responsibilities will include P. falciparum blood stage cell culture, in vitro drug activity studies, biochemical and analytical approaches to study drug actions, and preparing metabolomics and proteomics samples.
You will also contribute to collaborative research projects, while participating in broader activities within the research group and Faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for researchers looking to develop their expertise in a world-class academic environment.
