They will lead the pursuit of competitive research funding and foster productive collaborations across disciplines. In teaching, the successful candidate will contribute to curriculum innovation and ensure the delivery of high-quality education, while also participating actively in academic governance and assessment. A commitment to meeting national and international accreditation standards is essential, along with strategic leadership in the HDR program to attract and guide exceptional research students.

In addition, the successful candidate will provide strategic and administrative leadership within the Department by contributing to the development of policies and institutional strategies. The role involves cultivating and expanding partnerships across the University, with the broader community, and with national and international external agencies to enhance academic collaboration and professional engagement. A key focus is on strengthening industry links and diversifying funding opportunities through impactful partnerships. As a senior figure within the Department, the appointee will be expected to take future leadership appointments such as Head or Deputy Head of Department, contributing to the Business School’s ongoing development and direction.
