The Opportunity

Led by Monash, MedChem Australia is a national initiative driving small-molecule drug discovery, working with Australia’s biomedical researchers to deliver projects with strong clinical promise and commercial impact. MedChem Australia is seeking to recruit a Senior Project Officer, for the role of Operations Manager.

Reporting to the Director of MedChem Australia, you will coordinate key activities across the initiative and provide high-level project management to support the end-to-end delivery of projects, while also contributing to the communication strategy and building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to deliver on project goals.

As the successful candidate, you will coordinate project selection and review processes, manage communications and website content, support governance and reporting requirements, and foster effective stakeholder engagement.

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong project management experience with a proven record of coordinating or supporting projects through to completion. Well-developed research, analytical, and problem-solving skills will be key to your success, while knowledge of drug discovery and/or medicinal chemistry will be highly regarded.
