The Opportunity
HR Analytics is reshaping how large, complex organisations understand their workforce, and this fixed-term role puts you at the centre of that work. As a Senior Analyst Projects, you'll translate people data into clear, evidence-based insight that directly informs strategic decisions across one of Victoria's largest Universities.
What You'll Be Working On
- Lead end-to-end delivery of HR analytics projects, from scoping and data extraction through to stakeholder reporting
- Build and maintain workforce dashboards and models that support planning, talent, and organisational effectiveness initiatives
- Partner with HR Business Partners and senior leaders to frame analytical questions and communicate findings with clarity
- Identify trends in workforce data, including turnover, absenteeism, and capability gaps and translate them into actionable recommendations
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in a workforce analytics, people analytics, or HR data role within a large, complex organisation
- Advanced proficiency in data engineering, warehousing, and visualisation tools (Microsoft Azure Databricks, Fabric and Power BI) and strong capability in Excel or similar analytical platforms
- Experience working with HR information systems and an understanding of how workforce data is structured and governed in a higher education or public sector setting
- Proven ability to communicate analytical findings to non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands across a fixed-term engagement
- A collaborative approach and comfort operating within a team that values rigour, curiosity, and continuous improvement
