Overview

Applying your clinical experience, knowledge and professional competence, you will provide high quality care to clients referred to the Lymphoedema Program. You will plan, implement and evaluate a comprehensive and integrated range of services, appropriate to the needs of the local community. As a member of a multidisciplinary team including health professionals and service providers from other sectors, you will utilise a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment/therapy and evaluation approaches. You will accept accountability for your own practice standards, activities delegated to others, and for the guidance and development of less experienced staff within the team. Working under reducing clinical direction, you may contribute to the clinical supervision of less experienced health professionals and students. This position is based at Mount Barker, but you will also be working across Gawler and the Adelaide Hills.

For appointment at the AHP2 level, you will hold a recognised qualification within the Physiotherapy profession and be eligible for practicing membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association. For appointment at the RN2 level, you will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practicing certificate. You will also have completed an appropriate lymphoedema garment prescription qualification and be capable of providing lymphoedema clinical services with reference to service prioritisation and eligibility criteria. You will be committed to supporting clients, carers and families across the patient journey, coordinating care and prompt follow-up services.
