Duration of the training program: 12 months from  2/2/26 up to 31/1/27

Term of the Contract: 3 Years in line with clause 52 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement

At the end of the training program, CALHN will work with the employee to find a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the 3 year contract. 

About the Role 

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate medical professional to join our team, where you’ll play a key role in managing the care of patients within a dynamic clinical environment. Working closely with Consultants, Nurses and Allied Health professionals, you will ensure the highest standards of patient care through collaborative decision-making and holistic support. Your clinical expertise and empathetic approach will be vital in delivering positive health outcomes and fostering trust with patients and their families.

In this role, you will also contribute actively to continuous quality improvement initiatives and educational activities that support both personal growth and team development. About You

You are a qualified and motivated medical professional with a passion for delivering excellent patient care and contributing to clinical research and improvement. Your strong communication skills, clinical experience, and collaborative nature make you a valuable asset to any multidisciplinary team.

  • MBBS or equivalent, registerable with AHPRA; FRACS or equivalent desirable

  • Demonstrated experience in surgical research and completion of primary exams

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of care
