About the Role

As an AHA2 Physiotherapy Assistant, you’ll play a key part in keeping patient care safe, smooth and connected across RAH, TQEH, the Repat and HRC. You’ll support physiotherapists, prepare equipment, help deliver programs and keep our service running efficiently for better patient outcomes.

Key Duties

  • Support daily physio care across acute, rehab and outpatient teams
  • Prepare treatment spaces, equipment and patient resources
  • Guide patients through set exercises and mobility programs
  • Monitor patient needs and flag changes early to the team
  • Coordinate equipment info by liaising with suppliers and staff

About You

You’re a supportive, motivated person who enjoys helping others regain strength, confidence and independence. You bring the right qualification, practical skills and a calm, patient approach that helps our physio team deliver safe, high-quality care.

  • Hold (or be willing to do) Cert III Allied Health Assistance
  • Apply safe manual handling with strength and good judgement
  • Follow rehab plans, observe progress and flag concerns early
  • Work well with physios, patients and teams with clear communication
  • Use basic computer skills and keep accurate, confidential notes
