About the role

The Manager, Place Based Services, provides strategic and operational leadership for place based CaFHS services, including Department for Education sites and Goodstart Early Learning childcare centres. The Manager oversees interdisciplinary teams, ensuring evidence based and patient focused care while driving quality improvement and supporting equitable access and outcomes for children and families.

Key duties of the role

  • Lead and improve local processes and interventions for infants, children, and families.
  • Ensure excellence in case management and work practices.
  • Ensure staff are appropriately skilled and equipped to provide quality clinical services.
  • Initiate, implement, and coordinate processes for quality improvement and continuity.
  • Review and refine the governance structure for place based services across CaFHS.
  • Use information systems to inform decision-making, evaluate outcomes, and convey information.

Skills and Experience

  • Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post-registration experience.
  • Experience in leading strategic planning processes that involve staff.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading and promoting consumer engagement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated skills in providing a consultancy and advisory service to management and staff.
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal health and welfare issues and cultural needs.
