About the Role

As Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you’ll partner with the Nurse Unit Manager to lead a skilled team and deliver safe, consistent mental health care. You’ll balance hands-on clinical work with people leadership, building a positive culture that supports recovery, quality care and continuous improvement.

• Lead day-to-day clinical practice and support complex consumer care
• Support staffing, rostering, leave, recruitment and performance processes
• Drive practice change, quality improvement and policy within the unit
• Coach, guide and develop nurses to build capability and confidence
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners

About You

You’re a confident mental health nurse who enjoys leading others while staying close to consumer care. You bring sound clinical judgement, calm leadership and a genuine commitment to recovery-focused practice.

• Registered Nurse with current NMBA registration and practising certificate
• Postgraduate qualification in mental health nursing or equivalent
• Proven skill supporting people with complex mental health needs
• Confidence coordinating teams, supervision and day-to-day priorities
• Strong communication, digital skills and commitment to quality care
