About the Role:

An exciting opportunity awaits within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network for an experienced Allied Health Assistant to join our dynamic Cardiology Department. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting high‑quality patient care and contributing to positive rehabilitation outcomes across a multidisciplinary environment.

As a valued member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting Allied Health Professionals by delivering essential clinical and administrative assistance. Your contribution will directly enhance patient experiences and underpin the delivery of safe, effective, evidence‑based care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • supporting allied health professionals in delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care
  • assisting with therapeutic programs, rehabilitation activities and delegated clinical tasks
  • maintaining accurate clinical documentation and completing administrative duties related to patient care
  • preparing and maintaining treatment areas and equipment to support a safe, efficient therapy environment
  • contributing to data collection for quality improvement projects and research initiatives 
  • participating in competency-based training to maintain and develop clinical skills

Duties may include:

  • monitoring patients cardiac rhythm, preparation and performing ECGs - reporting to the supervising AHP or clinical cardiologist
  • assisting patient transport to/from AHP cardiology out patient area
  • assisting patient preparation for Holter monitoring
  • assisting patient in personal care needs to maintain privacy, cleanliness, and dignity before, during and after ECG and holter preparation
  • assisting with the preparation and management holter, ECG areas and equipment
  • performing holter monitoring
  • performing holter analysis

To be eligible for this position, you must possess a minimum of Certificate 4 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
