Orthopaedic Research Clinician – Outcomes & Practice

About the role: 

Reporting to the Clinical Director, this role will facilitate Research in the Department of Orthopaedics with an emphasis on measured outcomes.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Follow up studies to ensure satisfactory patient outcomes in conjunction with senior consultants
  • Implementing/monitoring and ensuring compliance with clinical standards and best practice
  • Implementation of best evidence practice, Gap analyses, Auditing
  • Coordination of medical students’ research projects (advanced studies)
  • Coordination of PhD students and Research Fellows working within the department involved in project design, ethics applications, etc.,

About you:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification that entitles registration as a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist in Australia
  • Ability to assume responsibility for the development and completion of outcomes assessment projects
  • Experience in setting up and completing relevant projects as evidenced by presentations and publications
  • Experience conducting clinical assessments of patients with orthopaedic conditions
  • Ability to be able to evaluate research studies
