About the Role

Join the dedicated nursing team at Penola War Memorial Hospital in this 12-month maternity leave backfill opportunity. As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver person-centred nursing care across a rural healthcare setting, providing high-quality clinical services while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. You will assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate patient care, support health promotion and education, contribute to quality improvement initiatives and mentor students and less experienced staff. This is an opportunity to build your clinical skills while making a meaningful difference in a close-knit regional community.

You are a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse who is committed to delivering safe, evidence-based care. You thrive in a collaborative environment, communicate effectively and are passionate about providing high-quality care to rural communities.

To succeed in the Registered Nurse role, you will:

  • Be registered, or eligible for registration, with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrate competence in contemporary nursing practice and person-centred care.
  • Have excellent communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
  • Be committed to continuous professional development and quality improvement.
  • Have the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
