About the role

As a Medical Scientist, you’ll play an important role in delivering a high-quality, multidisciplinary pathology service within a regional laboratory. Working as part of a supportive team, you’ll apply your scientific and technical expertise to routine diagnostic testing, helping provide accurate and timely results that support patient care.

You’ll contribute to the full testing process, from planning and problem solving through to analysis and reporting, while working closely with colleagues, clinicians, clients and other pathology providers. With guidance, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to the development and introduction of new techniques and methodologies, building your skills while making a valued contribution to SA Pathology and the community.

About You

We’re looking for a capable and team-focused Medical Scientist who brings sound laboratory knowledge, technical skills and a commitment to quality results and patient care.

  • Pathology-relevant science degree meeting NPAAC requirements
  • Experience with laboratory equipment, computing and data processing
  • Strong skills in routine testing, quality procedures and troubleshooting
  • Able to prioritise workloads, solve problems and work with initiative
