Cybersecurity Manager – Shape Security Across SALHN!

Join Southern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Cybersecurity Manager and take the lead in protecting the digital infrastructure that underpins care for thousands of South Australians. Based at the SALHN Regional Office in Adelaide's south, you'll drive risk management, incident response, and security governance across one of SA Health's largest networks. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract through to September 2027 — a substantial opportunity to leave a lasting mark on health sector cybersecurity in South Australia.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Director, this role is responsible for managing the cyber security program and providing professional security-related expertise, analysis and facilitating capacity.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Ensure the effective management of human, financial and physical assets through appropriate planning and allocation of resources to achieve agreed Division / Unit / Ward / Service and strategic plans,
  • Providing leadership in the developing and maintaining a robust cyber security governance framework and providing advice to inform strategy, standards and directions,
  • Providing leadership on the development and implementation and development of cyber security policies,
  • Providing leadership in the establishing and maintaining the Cyber Security Program,
  • Providing leadership in the development and delivery of assurance activities in relation to the requirements of the SACSF, ACSC Essential Eight and SOCI

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in cyber security, information technology or other relevant field, and / or security accreditation,
  • Demonstrated ability to apply high level of discipline knowledge with the ability to formulate, implement and monitor and evaluate priorities within a specified area of operation,
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, lead, implement, manage and evaluate goals, objectives and strategies which recognise organisational priorities in the context of resource constraints and a continually changing social, economic and political environment,
  • Demonstrated experience in providing positive leadership in a senior manager role in a large organisation,
  • Demonstrated experience in cyber security management and delivery of ICT security services and functions across an organisation, including incident response, implementing innovative security solutions and controls, identifying security, operational and compliance risks, preparing risk assessments across a range of service platforms and recommending appropriate action,
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in leading stakeholder consultation and management, working within a complex environment and successfully delivering objectives
