About the Role:

Join our team as a Catering Assistant and play a valued role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our clients. You’ll provide friendly, efficient catering and cleaning services, including food preparation, service and delivery, while gaining variety through working across the kitchen, laundry and housekeeping areas of our health unit.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Criteria 

  • Teamwork & Flexibility: Works well within a team and adapts to varied settings and rosters.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal, communication and numeracy skills, with the ability to work respectfully with diverse people.
  • Work Performance: Reliable, meets deadlines, works under direction and maintains confidentiality.
  • Relevant Experience: Some experience in housekeeping, catering/cooking and laundry.
  • Safety & Service: Basic knowledge of food safety, infection control, workplace safety and customer service.

Desired Criteria 

  • Qualifications & Skills: Year 11 completion, current first aid certificate and demonstrated manual handling skills.
  • Relevant Experience: Experience in housekeeping, catering/cooking, laundry and basic computer applications.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity principles and legislation.
