Overview

Port Lincoln Hospital is the anchor health service for the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network, delivering care to one of South Australia's most distinct regional communities. What You'll Be Doing

As a Services Assistant, you'll be a dependable part of the support team that keeps Port Lincoln Hospital's catering and housekeeping functions running safely and on time. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Preparing, portioning, and delivering meals and refreshments to patients in line with dietary requirements and service schedules
  • Cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, food service areas, and patient-facing spaces to infection-control standards
  • Completing general housekeeping duties across the unit to maintain a safe, welcoming environment
  • Assisting with laundry duties as required to support smooth ward operations

What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen, food service, or hospital support environment
  • Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, including safe food handling and storage
  • Reliable and organised approach to physical, task-based work within a structured roster
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, clinical staff, and colleagues
  • Willingness to hold or work toward a current food safety certificate as required by SA Health
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster that supports a part-time arrangement
