About the role

The Research Coordinator, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) is responsible for initiating, planning and managing complex research programs, projects and services that inform and support the development, evaluation and promulgation of evidence-based care for mental health distress for infants, children, young people and their families in South Australia.

Key duties of the role

• Develop, implement and monitor outcome measures for CAMHS programs and services in collaboration with consumers, carers and clinicians across South Australia.
• Coordinate research governance, budgets and reporting, including evidence-based reports, literature reviews and needs analyses.
• Provide professional advice to relevant committees and planning bodies within SA Health/WCHN portfolios, the public sector, and State and National forums as required.
• Lead the planning, development and promotion of information systems that support agencies to integrate outcomes measurement with local practice and to monitor effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and continuous improvement.
• Maintain a clinical caseload and provide clinical consultation and/or service commensurate with management and research responsibilities.

Skills and Experience

• Appropriate degree in Master’s Degree in Psychology or equivalent qualification recognised by the PsyBA and general registration with PsyBA and an endorsed area of practice in Clinical.
• Hold approved supervisor status with the PsyBA at all levels of supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to work within trauma informed principles, and engage, collaborate and co-work with mental health consumers and carers, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from diverse background.
• Proven experience utilising a range of databases, tools, technologies and processes to undertake qualitative and quantitative research and analysis and deliver meaningful insights within a health services environment.
• Demonstrated experience in leading, managing and guiding multi-disciplinary teams and initiating, planning and delivering complex, concurrent projects that achieve agency objectives, including preparing and reporting on budgets and findings within organisational and grant requirements.
