The Opportunity
Are you passionate about improving fleet safety and leveraging technology to drive operational excellence? We’re seeking an experienced IVMS Systems Support Manager to lead the governance, performance, and optimisation of our In-Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS) and GPS fleet technology solutions.
In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with operational leaders and technology providers to enhance driver behaviour, reduce incidents, and ensure the integrity and effectiveness of our fleet safety systems. Key responsibilities:
Governance & System Management
- Oversee the functionality, configuration, and performance of the IVMS and GPS solutions to ensure maximum reliability and effectiveness.
- Ensure data integrity complies with company standards, including surveillance and event management protocols.
- Manage the relationship and service agreements with IVMS technology providers, ensuring control room operations meet agreed escalation procedures for critical events.
- Provide governance and business support across IVMS-related projects, including performance reporting and analytics to validate fleet safety programs.
Systems & Reporting
- Deliver compliance dashboards, performance reports, and monthly data summaries on IVMS effectiveness and incident trends.
- Ensure continuous support for the DriveSafe GPS system to meet fleet safety standards.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and work proactively to identify opportunities for system enhancement and optimisation.
Capability & Culture
- Develop and deliver training programs on IVMS usage, event management, and system processes to operational teams.
- Foster a continuous improvement mindset by pursuing innovative solutions to reduce operational risks and improve driver behaviour.
- Partner with business leaders to embed safe driving practices and promote a culture of safety excellence.
About You
We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and can balance technical expertise with strong stakeholder management skills.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in fleet operations, safety compliance, or related roles.
- Proven success leading IVMS or fleet safety programs, including incident reduction initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of IVMS technologies, GPS tracking, and system reporting.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including database compliance reporting and system integration.
- Experience in critical incident response and managing escalations related to fleet safety events.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to create and deliver engaging training materials.
- Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to meet deadlines, drive performance, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety, Project Management, or a related discipline.
