The Opportunity 

Following an internal promotion, we’re seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to step into a trusted role within our Oils and Technical Services division, which collects, processes and disposes of hazardous/dangerous liquids and materials. Working across multiple sites across Australia, the role partners with senior operational leaders to provide practical, commercially focused HR advice in environments handling hazardous materials.  

You will work closely with leaders to enable strong people outcomes that directly support business performance. This role allows you to operate proactively and strategically, partnering with the business on initiatives that align with leadership priorities and organisational goals, delivering sustainable people outcomes. 

Your key areas of responsibility will include: 

  • Partnering with leaders, and building leadership capability through coaching, development, and workforce planning to drive effective people outcomes 
  • Analysing and interpreting workforce data to deliver and implement effective delivery of people programs to influence workforce outcomes  
  • Developing a strong understanding of the business to ensure HR initiatives are aligned with operational and strategic priorities 
  • Supporting people and culture integration initiatives during periods of change and transformation 
  • Supporting onboarding, succession planning, talent development, and capability-building initiatives that strengthen the workforce 
  • Embedding initiatives that support gender equity, talent pipelines, and sustainable workforce planning.  
  • Leading outcomes by leveraging our ER centre of excellence

About you 

You are a pragmatic, data‑driven decision‑maker who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and confidently manages competing priorities. You build strong, trusting relationships with remote stakeholders and bring a clear outcomes‑focused mindset to your work. Comfortable navigating dynamic environments, you adapt quickly, shift context with ease, and maintain momentum while delivering results. 

What you will bring to the role: 

  • Proven partnering experience in industrial, logistics, construction, mining, or similar environments, working confidently with both frontline teams and operational leaders.
  • Ability to build trusted, credible relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders across the business 
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands‑on approach, partnering closely with leaders to drive strong business and people outcomes.  
  • Strong capability in leveraging data and insights to identify trends, anticipate challenges, and recommend practical, commercially sound solutions.  
  • Effective influencing across geographically dispersed, national operational and leadership teams with the confidence to challenge and coach leaders constructively
