Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; some evenings & weekends as necessary.
Job Summary: The Media Production Associate works with faculty and other academic support professionals to record, shoot, edit, and deliver high quality media to be used in online courses and marketing campaigns. Operates video studio. Shoots field shots using cameras and other support units. Edits videos and create graphics and animations as needed. Utilizes Adobe Suite of Products (Premiere, Audition, After Effects, etc.) to create an engaging media presence for our online students.
Additional Department Summary: Collaborates with media production staff and other university and external stakeholders to edit media and operate and maintain all media production facilities and equipment under the purview of the Office of Teaching Innovation and Digital Education (OTIDE).
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of experience; OR associate's degree and two (2) years of experience; OR bachelor's degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge: Excellent organization and time and project management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to understand, implement, and train others. Ability to manage and organize projects. Ability to collaborate with others and meet desired deadlines. Ability to adhere to The University’s core competencies including adaptability, flexibility, student-customer focused, ethics and integrity, collaboration and building relationships and self-development. Ability to quickly evaluate and learn new technologies. Team player that proactively embraces new challenges and willing to share knowledge and skills with other media team members. Ability to train and mentor media staff and student employees. Knowledge online learning.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in live switching, audio recording, live keying, and character generation. Experience with media production equipment and media asset management systems.
